Sky Shepherd: Environment, art style, mood

I was an Art Lead and a Concept / Texture / 3D Artist for Sky Shepherd game, where you direct a flock of creatures from your glider in an explorative open environment. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1060450/Sky_Shepherd/

Working on the game's mood and the art style, I experimented with combining tribal Nomadic shapes with steampunk-y technology. I found a lot of inspiration in Journey, FC4 Shangri-La and Arzach comic books. I pushed for painterly stylization, which leans heavily on our cell shading and texturing style, and cinematic design, which is reinforced by our dynamic color transition shaders.
